Join the Portland Rotary in a meaningful tribute to the people who’ve made a lasting impact in your life - while helping us raise crucial funds to support service projects right here in our community. Sponsoring a flag is a heartfelt way to recognize a friend, mentor, family member, or local hero. Each sponsored flag will be proudly displayed at the Maine Mall from Monday, July 6 to Monday, July 20, 2026, creating a powerful and moving visual tribute.

This is more than a display - it’s a vital fundraiser. After covering essential expenses required to bring to life this meaningful display, all remaining proceeds directly support the charitable efforts of the Portland Rotary, helping us continue important work locally and beyond.

Important Dates

• July 5, 2026 - In a special pre-game ceremony at the Portland Sea Dogs game on Sunday, July 5, 2026, all sponsored flags will be displayed. Each hero's sponsor will have the chance to purchase a discounted general admission ticket to the game.

  July 6, 2026 - The flags for Heroes exhibition begins at the Maine Mall and will run until July 20, 2026.

  July 10, 2026 - A special ceremony will be held at the display in the Maine Mall. Friday evening, (Time to be Announced)

All flag sponsorships include one large flag and an accompanying plaque for display in the Flags for Heroes exhibition at the Maine Mall.
